If he didn’t read one of the books he picked at the library or if he didn’t read something that my mom bought for him I would just pick it up and start reading. My younger brother actually influenced a lot of the books that I read. I’m going to put a couple of pictures here^ of the library, the books I read for summer reading, and pictures of places where I liked to sit and read. I eventually grew into the habit of it and preferred staying in some days just to catch up on my reading. She no longer read to us and although I loved books it was a challenge for me, at first, to read all of those books on my own. We read twenty-five books every summer until the age of 13. When my brother and I got old enough to sign up for the summer reading at our local library my mom signed us up. I plan on putting pictures here^ of the books my mom read to me, such as Biscuit, The Monster Under My Bed, Amelia Bedelia, and The Giving Tree. I was brought into a different world each night and I thought it was magical. My mom always read to me in such an enthusiastic and entertaining way that it made me love every single story she told me.
